Bandit 2 C2C Industrially Hardened And Commercial Grade Security Appliance
The BANDIT-2 C2C™ is designed for banking (ATM), Point of Sales (POS), elevators, industrial process control, vending machines and kiosks, healthcare, RTU's, meters, traffic control systems and other legacy devices, that currently depend on Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) telephone lines terminating on CPE with embedded analog modems. The C2C™ solution is the easiest to implement, acting as a one-to-one replacement solution to the existing POTS with payback in as little as 10 months by:
- Protecting Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), with minimal operations impact
- IP ready for future requirements
- Eliminating the Operational Expenditure (OPEX) of analog lines including the cost of remote POTS
- Eliminating the cost of calls via the Public Switched Telephone Network
By moving to an IP cellular infrastructure, users remove the dependence on copper lines that are limited in services and diminishing reliability. The increased bandwidth capacity of a cellular infrastructure supports new IP based functionality, such as video, that can be added to operate in real time. Simply connect to your existing analog modem transport via a 3G Cellular network. The remote equipment continues to function and operate with no changes to Operations Administration and Maintenance (OA&M) with the added benefits of increased data throughput and reliability. Increased data security utilizing IPSec (AES256, 3DES) VPN and firewall capability ensures secure system data and network connections directly to a commercial cellular data IP services or IP/Ethernet Wide Area Network (WAN) or Local Area Network (LAN). With its seamless Host Site diversification failover feature, the BANDIT-2 C2C™ is ideal for Disaster Recovery and Application Load Sharing to multiple Host Sites.
